Last Quarter Moon Breathwork & Reiki

 

Join us as we use our breath to embrace the waning phase of the Moon's cycle!

The Last Quarter Moon (also known as Third Quarter Moon) - is a point in the Moon Cycle when the Moon's energy reaches its peak of release.

We let go of our intention and surrender to practice acceptance. This might look like setting boundaries with yourself or others so you can give in to peace and stillness.

During this session we will check in with the current energies of the Last Quarter Moon and do a brief somatic writing exercise for connecting to release, acceptance and confrontation of obstacles in our healing journey.

We'll use breathwork with a unique and intentionally crafted playlist to help release. Distance Reiki will be delivered during the integration period during this nurturing session.

What to expect from this session

In this session…

We will get cozy and introduce ourselves.

Then, I will share my inspiration behind what motivated me to create this special space with the connecting to our soul and soul mission as our guide.

We’ll breathe for  25 - 30 minutes in a breathwork session I lovingly created to support you in connecting with your own soul and soul mission. Reiki will be delivered to all participants during the rest portion of the experience.

If you’ve never breathed with me before, no worries! This session is for beginners and experienced breathers, intuitives, empaths, highly sensitive folks and those attuned to subtle energies. 

My breathwork sessions typically begin a somatic self-inquiry exercise where we check in with the breath and use our awareness to locate experiences, sensations and feelings we are having in the body. 

I create one fluid breathing session to an intentionally crafted playlist inspired by the theme and energy. Many love to lie down in bed or on a yoga mat with a blanket to sink deep into the experience. You can expect me to facilitate and lead you through 2 - 3 practices that make up the 25-30 minutes. Practices may be a combination of restorative slow types and active types. I typically encourage folks to take things at their pace and listen to their own bodies. I will sometimes offer modifications as well!

 We typically take our time in transitioning, feeling and sensing our way through. It’s such a lovely way to connect with yourself, your energy, intuition and inner wisdom, your body, trust and truth.

Sessions may include affirmations, intuitive guidance channeled by me in the moment and meditative prompts or ideas. 

There will be time at the end of the session to journal what came up for you and integrate. We can also share our experiences with one another in the group. 

About Reiki 

In 2020, I started my journey with learning and receiving attunements through my mentor Jilian in the healing art of Reiki. Since then, I have completed all 3 levels including the beginner, practitioner and master level. I just love practicing Reiki and find that this type of healing modality pairs incredibly well with breathwork sessions. 

Unfamiliar with what Reiki is? 

The word Reiki ( “RAY - KEE” ) is a Japanese word which can be translated to “universal life-force energy” or “spiritual energy” (Rei = soul and Ki = life force). In the West, it is defined as a holistic healing practice. Reiki works on four levels : the physical level - the mental level - the emotional level - and the spiritual ( energetic ) level. Reiki energy (or healing white light in traditional Usui Reiki) is delivered through an attuned Reiki practitioner using a hands on or hands off method. The practitioner channels the Reiki energy and sends it to those who are wanting to receive it for healing purposes. Reiki energy can be received in person or through proxy (distance). 

It’s important for me to note that I am not the “healer”, you are! As a Reiki practitioner, I allow the energy to flow through me to you - sorta like when you are drinking a cold beverage through a straw. The Reiki is the beverage and I am the straw. You draw the energy through me to you. Making you and your own will to heal, the healer. 

How to prepare

Grab your pen and journal.

Pick a spot where you can lie down flat like the floor, yoga mat, couch or bed.

Come as you are! Dress comfortably and have an extra blanket nearby. I recommend using an eye pillow, eye mask or a scarf to cover your eyes and help bring your attention deep into the experience. You can have your lights soft or light a candle to help ease into the experience. 

You can bring any items next to you that you feel will support you during our session. Supportive items can include your favorite crystals or essential oils. A soft stuffed animal to cuddle with post breathwork or a pillow. Have water accessible to you post breathwork.

Additional Details

This is a live virtual event through Zoom. Recordings will not be sent to participants but will be available in The Playground, a space for self-guided exploration, community healing, magic, mystics, and support.
