unwavering

Roots so strong

so grounded and long

you outgrow a mystical

tree growing sideways

you grow at your own pace

slow…

taking time as a gift

soaking in the flow

of your own intentional strength

when the ground quakes

beneath your feet

you smile softly and bend over

placing your hands on the ground

absorbing the shockwaves

like honey dissolving

into your morning tea

you close your eyes

and you know it is true

to your core

in your heart you know

you are part of the Earth

and you waver no more.

This poem was created with the help of those in my IG stories! I asked my people to submit a word and I said I would make it into a poem. Here is the fourth one. Thanks to my dear friend Jessica for submitting the word “unwavering”.
